How we started

Amalgama started as a passion project—a platform dedicated to showcasing the vibrant and often overlooked work of Latin American women artists in London. In our early days, we aimed to bring their stories and art to a wider audience, highlighting the depth and diversity of their contributions to the art world.

Growing Impact

Our initial success led us to broaden our horizons. We began hosting forums and workshops, featuring prominent artists like Cecilia Vicuña, and launched a podcast focusing on the voices and experiences of women artists. These initiatives not only enriched our community but also fostered a deeper connection between artists and art enthusiasts.

The 1st Academy for Latin American Art

Now in 2024, we are thrilled to introduce Amalgama Academy, a natural evolution of our mission. Our academy offers a comprehensive learning experience with courses and mentorship programs designed to immerse students in the rich tapestry of Latin American art history. We invite you to join us as we continue to explore, learn, and celebrate the unique artistic expressions of Latin America.
